Suggest Treatment For Idiopathic Cerebellar Degeneration

My 73 yr old hubby was diagnosed with MSA 2 yrs ago.After several years of tests.Now the prognoses has changed to Idiopathic Cerabella Degeneration.His issues,at night diffuculty to walk in dark,unsteady during day walking,speech slured at times,coughing,sleeping issues.The main concern at the moment is sleeping problems.At times does not do to sleep till the early hours in the morning.Tried strongest sleeping tablets did not help at all,raising bed,sleeping in chair,sleeping on floor,nothing has helped,any ideas.
