Suggest Treatment For Schizophrenia

Hi. After almost 4 years we finally got my sister to the mental health unit on Tuesday. She's been under observation and yesterday we mdt with her consultant. Assuming she was suffering from PTS having been in a major train crash in 1999 her doctor instead was quite dissmissive of this event and more interested in my fathers mental health medical history saying as my sister has been so unwell for 4 years she would be looking more at a diagnosis of schizophrenia.
To be honest im devastated by this although I know it's very early days to be making diagnosis but i really thought ghat with some treatment and therapy we'd have her back on her feet. Im really afraid that shell never return to normality
