Was Born With Hip Not In My Socket. Spent My

Was born with hip not in my socket. Spent my first 2 years in a body cast to fix it. Never had any problems with sports and was involved with ballet dancing. Now, I am 61 and my hip (left side) is giving me problems, such as sudden stabbing pain, need to lift my leg to get into the car, limping because of pain. Ibuprophin helps during those bouts, but it keeps coming back. Also, my left leg is 2 inches shorter than my right because of my hip issues as an infant.
