Went to ER Monday evening with a sore stuffy right ear, with some watery discharge. After much ado, including a CAT Scan they advised that it was a bacterial infection, and prescribed Cortisporin ear drops: 4 drops, 4 times per day. Since, Tuesday when I began using the drops, my ear has continued to worsen. It is very swollen and sore internally, and oozes continually out of my ear in unbelieveable amounts! I had been able to plug my nose and blow to open my Eustachian tube; which would gurgle and squeak with the water/pus presence; BUT, last evening when I applied my drops, they somehow gushed into and through my Eustachian tube- burning intensly the tube and my sinuses. Since then, my jaw is very sore and I can no longer blow my Eustachian tube open. The pressure/pain is worse as is the watery drainage. I need advice.
