Hello, I have a complicated sinus? issue. Please help! My car won t make it to the nearest ENT doctor. Please tell me the problem, why it happens, and possible cures. Preferably no long term treatments. My nose becomes stuffed up when I lie on my back or sit in a slouching position. But runs again as soon as I sit up. Then when I try to clear it it becomes temporarily inflamed (I m guessing, it feels stuffed but there is no extra mucus). Sometimes when I change positions though the congestion or running will be followed by a sneezing fit and my eyes will water. And on top of all this my nose runs just after I get up and constantly while doing cardio exercises (this has all been going on for about 6 months when I started exercising more). I ve worked out in both inside and outside and in both cold and warm temperatures. Only worsens when cold no matter location but still happens while warm. I have occasional ear ringing but no pain or discomfort and currently have final molars coming in. I also feel dizzy a lot when getting up (shaky vision, balance issues, no spinning) Tried: antihistamines, humidifiers, prescribed antibiotic augmentin 875mg tab, prescription flonase 0.05%., sinus pressure points, ibuprofen, decongestants, and cold pills. All worked the first time or two but quickly lost their effectiveness. Ibuprofen is the only relief I found for the congested feeling but don t want to rely on a drug every 6-8 hours for the rest of my life and blowing my nose is only thing that helps running. Mucus is always clear, not overly thick or thin (normal). I ve been told it could be either non-allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, virus, or bacterial infection. Possibly helpful info: 22y/o, female, 185lbs, 5 5 , 29%bmi, almost perfect blood pressure, allergic to ceclor(causes a rash), no other known allergens or intolerances. Currently on depo shot. I have dogs and a wood burning stove but have been around both all my life. No new foods have been added into my diet. Lived in the same place for five years. Constantly not drinking enough water but when I went on a water binge for a couple weeks drinking about a gallon a day nothing changed. Used to run daily outside but had to stop because I would go through a whole thing of tissues while on the treadmill at the gym and that doesn t really work.
