What Causes Elevated Levels Of SGPT Despite Taking Statin?

Hi, I am 34 yo male diagnosed with fatty liver, slightly high cholest n trigly counts. Used statins 10mg to help, tested for liver function, seems not affected by the statins. Recently stopped statins for 1 wk and did liver profile tests n cholest tests, cholest back to norm levels, but sgpt/alt levels almost the same at 55, 59. How should I interpret this? What can be done?
