Back in August, I noticed excess mucous from salivary glands? clear and sticky. irritated tongue. I have had 2 stem cell transplants for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Dentist thought it was Thrush-so, oral Nystin. Wrong tx. Compromised Immune System so I went on oral Cyclosporin-wrong. Called my oncologist at Dartmouth Hitchcock MC in NH. They thought is graft vs host disease. of course, i arrive and all i did was open my mouth and he said no lesions, no problem. The issue has not been resolved. Any suggestions? worse with drooling at nightime. dentist will see me but worried whatever it is it could become systemic if they had to perform any dental work....i have an appt sched with dmd on jan 15th, 2015. Maddening. Thank you in advance. YYYY@YYYY . Personally, I think I need a culture or a scraping or maybe, it is GI. I am 54 yrs of age and cancer-free now. Thank you. On ssdi and unable to pay anything for your response. I am frightened. I have had shingles x3, have a bladder implant, sarcoidosis. not sure if my donor was screened very well. had a endoscopy too-neg, except for Gi sarcoidosis which has nothing to do with my salivary glands.
