What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain When Suffering From Enlarged Prostrate?

Yes, I have all the symptoms associated with an enlarge prostrate and am taking medications. I have chronic dull pain to the front lower quadrant, mid-point between the pubic bone and the navel. The symtoms began in 1989 very mild and would go away for days or weeks. As the years past it has gotten worst. Now its almost constant. Sitting is the worst position, and standing used to relieve the pain, not now. My urologist said it was not associated with my prostrate. My family doctor is puzzled, he order a C.T. to determine is it was a hernia. The results were negative. He than order a nuclear scan to see if it was cancer or tumor. The results were negative. The pain radiates through the penis to the head of the penis and gives an urge to urinate. Urinating used to relief the pain, not now. The area is tender to the touch when pressing, it feels about 2 to 3 inches deep inside about the bladder. Can it be Interstitial cystitis? or other bladder problems? what other exams can be perform to determine the cause.
