I have a female friend, 62 when she had a mild stroke one year ago. She has full use of extremities, slight problem with speech at first but no longer. She has developed migraines, and she is having a problem with weight loss. She was 5 ft 9, 200 lbs at time of stroke and now is 125. She can't eat more than a few spoons full of food at a time, or it comes back up, and she usually eats soup. She is very sensitive to meds, and has a hard time finding any that she can use. They tried what I think is an oil from the marijuana plant, and she said she could not tolerate it. and it did not help after 2 weeks. Now they want her to get medical marijuana, which is legal in Oregon. She's thinking she doesn't want to do that either. They wanted at one time to tube feed her, but she refused. Do you have any ideas? They said it is probably not that she doesn't want to eat, but maybe the stroke affected the reflex of feeling full, as that is how she feels, is full all the time. Do you have any other ideas? She thinks she is going to waste away. Thank you, Kathy
