What Causes Persistent Pain Under The Ribcage Along With Constipation?

About three weeks ago, I noticed pain in my upper right abdomen towards my rib cage. It was only tender to the touch. I had gone to the ER where they feared it could have been my gallbladder. I had blood work and ultrasounds completed. I had then followed up with my primary doctor and had even more extensive blood work done. In the meantime, I was placed on bentyl and prilosec. My complete blood work and ultra sounds were all great. The tender pain dissipated, however, I still have pain under the right side of my ribs. I am not going to the bathroom normally. At times I am constipated, and when I finally go, I am sick to my stomach. My stool is soft with some dark spots at times, some small pinkish spots at times, and some stringy white materials at times. My doctor has me on new medication that he wants me to try for a month. If nothing changes, he will send me to a Gastro. Today, the tender spot came back. I am very uncomfortable and worried. Any ideas what could be going on?
