What Causes Recurring Vertigo, nausea And Vomiting?

At 2am Today my husband had vertigo but by 4am it was gone. Later, around noon, he had vertigo again and felt nauseated, threw up. After resting he was able drive home. He slept from 3:00pm till 5:00pm, then drank a small amount of electrolyte beverage, urinated, still felt woozy headed. After awhile I took his temp which was 97. He has tennitis and doc said in the past that he may have Ménière's. This attack has gone on four hours. He has slept most of this time? Do u think this is just a Ménière's attack due to change in barometric pressure? Wednesday 1-14-2015 he had vertigo, too. Could he have a viral/bacteria illness with a low temp? He is retired, age 63.
