yes please my aunt is having pains in her side and has blood in her stool...im just nervous about it ..she is at the emergency room as we speak but im just trying to figure out what causes the blood in the stool and if the pain in her side is connected to this

hi, many diseases of gut can cause this, like inflammatory bowel disease(eg:ulcerative colitis) , gut infections (shigella), and rarely malignancies of intestines. colonoscopy might help her if every other investigation turns normal. all the best.
