What Causes Sharp Pain In Spleen Of A Child?

Good evening. My 11 year old daughter had a severe case of mono almost two years ago. She had an extremely enlarged spleen with pain and was watched closely by her doctor. The illness lasted months. Please note that she is not a complainer, but since then she has had periods of feelings quite poorly, sometimes with similar symptoms. Right now she experiencing sharp pain in the area of her spleen and lower.

It is not uncommon for her to be very achy like she was when she had mono, but I usually attribute that to the big growth spurts she has had lately. She has grown at least a three to four inches in the last nine months. We haven't measured her very recently. Anyway, can you offer guidance? I think she needs to see her doctor, but as it is evening now and the office is closed can you offer thoughts?
