I am a 56 year old female (in menopause); I have a difficult time sleeping soundly, I am in bed for 6-7 hours but consistently only get 3 1/2 to 4 hours of sleep each night. I also have chronic joint pain (neck/hand/hip/low back), psoriasis (recent in the past two years), weight gain (25 lbs over two years), muscle tightness/pain. Doctors thought perhaps rhumatoid or psoriatic arthritis but tests did not support that theory. Lately I ve had a difficult time concentrating, and my memory is getting increasingly poor. I do not want to resort to sleep aid medication; however, I ve tried herbal remedies and they don t help; I am getting extremely frustrated ... I think if I get a good night s sleep it will help all of the other symptoms! What would you suggest??
