What Causes Sore Throat Along With Headaches And Night Sweats?

I have been sick for 3-4 days now, and have experienced: sore throat, aches and pains, headaches, night sweats, and a swollen tonsil with red and white dots. My question is, should i be concerned about getting an anti-biotic for the red and white dots in my throat? or would it be smart to gargle on warm salt-water and wait to see if this progresses further?
