A month ago, I had protected sex with a masseuse. The intercourse only lasted about 10 seconds and when I pulled out, the sperm is still inside the condom which indicated that the condom didn't fail. But I don't know if there's a small hole on the sides.
And then 2 weeks later, I had a sore throat, I took medicine and feel better the following day.
Now roughly 1 month after the intercourse and two weeks after the first symptom (sore throat), I am having a very painful sore throat accompanied by high fever that I haven't been getting from quite some time.
I am really scared. Because the symptoms and the time match with what I read from the internet. The symptom is fever with sore throat and occurs about 2-4 weeks after the intercourse.
I think it's too early to go for blood test either because the if the tested is taken prior to 6 months after exposure, then the result isn't conclusive. Should I really go test for HIV based on this exposure?
How to know whether my fever and sorethroat are HIV ARS or just a regular flu? When I take tablets, it feels good after an hour. Although, the effect remains for only 4-5 hours.
