I have been on adderall and ativan for years now and was put on norcos about 7 or 8 months ago. I asked my doctor if I could get my scripts early so that I could go to visit my family up north as I was due for my script on the 1st and this doctor's office is closed on Friday's which meant I had to get the refill by the 31st. The plan was to arrive up north on Christmas Eve and stay until the day after New Year's. I left the message on the refill line and never got a confirmation that my refills were ready so called up there to talk to someone which is impossible as you just keep getting recordings to leave a message. When I was finally able to talk to someone after I had to cancel our vacation plans, they told me I violated some controlled substance agreement because I asked for them early and they weren't going to refill any of my scripts. I have terrible back pain. My muscles in my back are hard as rocks and when I went to physical therapy they said that the middle and upper spine were moving too much, macro something and my spine was pushing into my ribs which is why my ribs always hurt and my lower spine is not moving at all. So after this I had to withdrawal off the opiate, the amphetamine, and the benzo all at the same time which is the worst feeling I have ever felt in my life. On top of this I have excrutiating back pain. I had also lost my insurance and wasn't able to get any insurance until now which won't be effective until 2/1/15 and have a doctor's appt on 2/2/15 with a new doctor. Can't I sue him for this? My fianc'e has had to miss work to take care of our kids because I haven't been able to and I lost my job as well. Aren't doctors required to gradually take you off of controlled substances? I have depression and anxiety with past suicidal attempts and extreme anxiety attacks. I came close to trying to commit suicide many times through this and finally had to buy my medications off the street just so I could function and take care of my children (Ages 9, 7, and 2). Could I sue him for this?
