Hello, i RECENTLY MADE AN APPT WITH A NEUROLOGIST, BUT IT WILL BE A WHILE BEFORE THEY CAN SEE ME. iN THE LAST YEAR, i HAVE BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE OBVIOUS MEMORY ISSUES. i AM 56 AND DIABETIC. My blood sugar is good but A1C is 8.. I really noticed last year when I mentioned to someone that I needed to do laundry but said Lawnmower. I said to myself you need to empty the garbage but I said garage. I speak rapidly, but now I really, really have to think about what I want to say so that I don t use the wrong word, I am now limiting social contact because it s humiliating. I am having a terrible time remembering names I ve known forever .I now write down every task, appt and bill otherwise I forget. Recently I could not remember how to get to a place that I have gone to for over 20 years. Several months ago, I walked into our home and forgot the alarm code, even though I selected it. I don t have trouble remembering how to get home or to the doctor s office. I remember family phone numbers. I do wonder if this is medication related. I have taken Metformin for years, I also take Lisinopril, Levothyroxin, Victoza, Estradiol, Invokana, Alprazolam and have been taking Baclofen for a year. I just recently stopped taking Wellbutrin per my Doctor, I just started taking Cymbalta and Zoloft in the past few weeks. I have taken Neurontin for years because of my sciatica. Thank you for any help.
