What do you make of the following...
59 year old male
Patient exhibiting TIA symptoms. (7+ suspected)
Alzheimer's symptoms
Also dizziness, balance, coordination, speech, vision issues. Light & sound sensitivity, as well as nerve issues.
Radiologist conclusions... in order of finding:
Gliosis present.
Left frontal lobe cerebrovascular malformation (CVM)
Perivascular space in left uncus
Cavum Septum Pellucidum et vergae
Encephalomalacia or venous congestion at the distal aspect of the vascular malformation
Altered susceptibility along a sulcus of the right frontal lobe, appearing more prominent than on the prior exam, suggesting a small amount of interval hemosiderin staining/subarachnoid hemorrhage in this location.
progression of nonspecific T2 white matter hyperintensities, which likely represent moderate chronic small vessel ischemic disease.
My neurologist didn't think this was a big deal. He also said I could not feel pain from the CVM. I went to doctor BECAUSE of the pain and told them exactly where it was, before the MRI. I told them I have felt a 'wetness' at times, which is a very bizarre feeling I cannot describe, other than what I said.
I suspect I need to seek another neurologist. Some of these things seem predisposed to more stroke activity and also Alzheimer's, of which I am currently greatly concerned.
I appreciate any insight that you can offer.
Thank you.
