Hello,
I am a 27 year old female that recently had a pelvic ultrasound back in December 2014. I have never been pregnant. I also have a very small frame of 118lbs at 5'8. Here is what the report states:
The right ovary is not well visualized secondary to overlying bowel gas and peristalsis.
The left ovary measures 3.4x1.9x2.2cm and appears larger than on prior exam. There is now a complex cyst which measures 2.8x1.3x2.0 cm which demonstrates predominant hypechoic, somewhat tubular appearance. There are no definite solid ovarian lesions. Within the left adnexa, there are prominent vessels which demonstrate moderate vascular flow on doppler imaging.
impression: Left ovarian complex cyst measures 2.8 cm. A follow up ultrasound is recommend 6-8 weeks.
My Doctor also test me for CA125 bloodwork and wanted me to follow up on that as well. The blood work came back normal the first time. However, just this weekend (March 6) I have been having weird symptoms such as pain, I have not had an appetite in weeks, fatigue, sleeping a lot, back ache, bloating to wear I look several months pregnant, on and off bleeding, pain when urinating, low grade fever and chills. I do not feel good at all. My Doctor referred me to a surgeon. I have not been to the appointment yet. Should I be worried that this could potentially turn into ovarian cancer? I do not have a family history of it that I am aware of. I just can tell something is wrong. What do you think?
