What Does My Thyroid Test Result Indicate?

My Thyroid test results are T4, Free (Direct) 1.00, TSH 2.342, which my Dr. says is in the normal range. Symptoms are severe insomnia, hair loss (1/2 as thick as it was this time last year), hoarseness every day, very tired from not sleeping, dry skin, itching all over, few patches of excema, dry eyes, weight gain. I can t lose weight. I am 65. I need some sleep. Do these symptoms point to Hypothyroidism in spite of normal results? I have a medical issue; I need it resolved. Not getting much help from my physician. I don t think Ambien is the answer.
