What Does Pinkish Discharge In Urine Of A Diabetic Indicate?

I am 47 y/o male, type II diabetic, well controlled with metformin and diet. 5'5'' stocky 205 lbs. I recently noticed a very pale pinkish tinge in my urine. So when do I panic?
also, just had a 3 day flu-like illness with fever, chills, some sinus congestion, and took mucinex and advil.
Could this extra medicine or cold explain the urine color?
