What Is The Treatment Of Blackened Eye If Had Hit On Head ?

I have a friend who suffered a blow to the head, as a result she had a blackened eye and a lump on her head, the lump has gone down some but is still palpable, she has told me that she often forgets what day it is, also, she has not noticed, but she tells me the exact same story every day as if it were the first time and she always starts it off the exact same way, I am concerned for her health and was wondering, based off what I have told you, if you could give me your opinion on what you think might be wrong with her? Her memory has definitely been affected so I know there has got to be some kind of brain injury, sounds kind of like dementia of some kind to me but I m no doctor.

Hello
It seems from the history that your friend had a injury to the head following which she is having black eye.
Black eye is common after injuries to face and head above the level of the eye brow.
This is because of collection of blood in the layers of skin of eyelids. This will subside over 2-3 weeks as the blood gets absorbed slowly.
The other complaints of memory loss do indicate concussion injury to the brain and require evaluation and treatment. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
