dear doctor,can you explain if i consume whisky 3 or 4 pecs will shoot my BP high. right now my BP level is 150/105 without tablet. I do take exforge 5mg/160mg when i take pills it under control 135/95. but not taking it regularly. I do check BP at home it ranges between 145-150 and 100-105. i only take tablets when pressure goes up. I do take walk 2 km / 3 days in a week. But i like to take Whisky twice in a week, like 3 or 4 pecks at a time to enjoy the kick. I am 42 years old, 85kg /170 cm height - my blood sugar under control except my BP.

I have also another query like, these BP tablets will try to control the heart muscle to function slower than the normal. Chemical name Amlodipine and Valsartan act like Ace inhibitors and Di Uritic , Beta blockers, As a natural body reaction, BP raise only if there any other hidden factors like linked with other problem which reacts to balance the pressure. I feel whether it could be some other problem which needs my attention.
