Earlier Today I Accidentally Stepped On A Large Fallen (now

earlier today I accidentally stepped on a large fallen (now dried out) blackberry cane with a bend in it. it flipped back up behind me and punctured the back of my lower calf and flipped back down to the ground. So no ripping action. It hurt bad, and there were 3-4 spots of blood on my leg which I wiped with a kleenex from my purse, drove home and within 10 minutes cleaned the would with peroxide, (& did this a few times throughout the evening). I wondered why it hurt so much, & noticed the puncture was on a vein. Some 6 hours later I can hardly bend my ankle, knee bends okay. The area aches and the muscle feels super tight as if I have been walking in high heels for a week straight. The wound has a slight protrusion. No red stripe noted, although I had blood poisoning once and the immobilization was similar.
