Hello, I Am 17 And Female. I Have A Question

hello, I am 17 and female. I have a question about my hip. I am a competitive softball player with many overuse injuries. I am about 175 lbs. and mostly muscle.

when I was younger and smaller, my right hip had normal flexibility and no pain. although I cannot tell you when the pain started. if I sit upright with my knees bent for too long, my right hip will lock, and I am forced to lean forwards and pop it, which is very, very painful. then, in order to straighten it out, it takes me about 10-15 minutes of slowly stretching my leg going through immense pain until it subsides. no matter how long I wait, when I stand up and try walking, it is even more painful to put pressure on my right leg or move it in any way. this happens about 2 or 3 times a week during school (where i sit a lot) and maybe twice a month in the summer (where i only sit when driving). in addition, I have limited movement in my hip when I try to move it away from my body. the limited movement also prevents me from sitting "criss-cross" or doing the "butterfly" stretch.

in conclusion, my question is, is there anything that can be done to fix my hip? and is there anything that can cause this, as I have no history of major or minor injury to my hip.

thanks!
