Hello, I Have A Question About My Father, He Died

hello, i have a question about my father, He died three weeks before from cardiac arrest. 4 years ago he was diagnosed with heart failure, ejection fraction 30%.He took the drugs regularly and had not develop dyspnoea or swelling. He had a fairly active daily life, with walks, discussions with friends etc. A few days before he died display a persistent dry cough. The pathologist who examined him said that has high acute chronic bronchitis and gave inhalation drug and antibiotics. Indeed the situation improved directly and cough almost disappeared. A few days later he died.I have remorse because I think maybe had to get another treatment, and that they may now be lived. It is possible?
