I'm A Combat Veteran Who's Been In The Military(Army Nat'l

i'm a combat veteran who's been in the military(Army Nat'l Guard) for over 27 1/2 years. I'm currently going through a divorce after years of a non-violent, but tough marriage. The past 5 years have been very rough due mostly to my personal life, but events while deployed, along with many of my friends' post deployment suicides have really taken a toll on me. I've seen many VA mental health doctors and have been on roughly 9 different types of non narcotic medications. I've had problems with taking these meds do to having side affect, so I sopped the use. The VA has diagnosed me with anxiety but denied my claims for PTSD. My anxiety IS severe to where I've had attacks while driving, back to back episodes of attacks and just last week I was admitted to a hospital for tests. It's caused me to isolate myself to my home, only leaving for necessary things, work, etc. I have health insurance, but can't afford expensive therapists and treatments. I need to find someone who can help me with my problem, but I'm not sure whether to seek out a Psychologist or Psychiatrist. In your opinion, who would be a better choice for me? Thank you for your time and help.
