My Daughter Was Recently Seen At An Urgent Care And

my daughter was recently seen at an urgent care and we were told she might have had an allergic reaction to heat... This was 5 days ago. She gets VERY strong burning sensations in her face. They are so bad that she curls up and cries... they seem to be set off by temperature changes. She has allergies and will be starting allergy shots when we return home (we are in Arizona for another month and are from Nebraska). Right now she is on her normal medicine which includes zirtec, singular and flonase daily. Her allergies are not food related, but pollens, weeds, ect. The first episode occurred after roasting marshamallows at campfire then coming inside and taking shower (not hot-just "normal warm" and lasted almost two hours with strong surges which is why we took her in. That was a saturday night. On Monday we contacted her allergy specialist in Nebraska who did not return our call until Tuesday. At that time he called in prednisolone (15mg/5ml) and said to take 5ml 2x a day for 7 days to see if that helped. These episodes occur more in the evening. And last night one occured again and the only difference was the "surge" of stronger pain was shorter but the entire episode still lasted over an hour with about 5-10 minutes of low pain, then a really strong 2-3 minutes, then subsiding again... Early this morning she began vomiting and has probably done so 8 times in the last 7 hours. I did not give the prednisolone this morning. I have called several pediatric clinicis this morning and none can see her for at least a month. I am waiting for our Dr. at home to return a call... Also, she does not have a fever or chills... I am wondering two things- is it possible that predisolone is causing the stomach problem? If it might help with facial burning I don't want to stop it, but if it is making her this sick, i am not sure what to do! I can go to an urgent care again, but my guess is they will say "go home" like last time... I am wondering what the chance is that she has an actual heat allergy? or did she maybe get some sort of "heat burn" from the fire (of course she wasn't "in it" and did not feel any actual pain at that time but who knows?). Also, the cool air has even set off the burning sensation! I really want to know what questions to be asking! What type of doctor to be looking for and what are some options to try to help with the pain...
