1. Can You Provide Your Opinion Of The Attached 6

2. Can you provide a second opinion: My doctor has prescribed Rosuvastatin 10mg, Metoprolol ER Succinate 25 mg, and Lisinopril 5 mg. because of Aorta at sinus of Valsalva 46 mm diagnosis. Both on the information sheet and on the internet I see these medications have caused others fairly dramatic side effects, like low blood pressure and heart rate. I already get lightheaded sometimes and have low pressure/heart rate at times. Your thoughts.
Appreciate the help.
I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service!
I reviewed carefully your ECG images and would explain that they show a normal sinus rhythm with no abnormalities.
Regarding the drugs prescribed by your doctor, I would like to explain that these drugs can help reduce the further progression of aortic dilatation, by reducing the heart rate and blood pressure values.
These drugs are usually safe in most if persons and they have been prescribed at a low dose.
If your blood pressure values drop, I would recommend reducing the dose of lisinopril to 2.5mg.
Metoprolol is very important to prevent possible cardiac arrhythmia, considering the fact that you are taking levothyroxine. Besides the dose is really low, and I think you will tolerate it well.
Regarding Rosuvastatin, it can help reduce cholesterol levels and thus the risk of progression of aortic dilatation.
Periodical control of cholesterol levels every 3 months is necessary.
If you experience fatigue or muscle cramps, you should consider reducing the dose of rosuvastatin to half a tablet.
Hope you will find this information helpful!
I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you need!
Kind regards,
Dr.Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
