Rare white blood cells in stool, MCV 74.9, MCH 25.1, Monocytes 8.10, Lipase 16, Total Bilrubin 1.4 Family history of crohn's, ulcerative colitis, CF, thyroid issues. Gastro DR is not concerned about any of these results. Do we need to look at more?
Brief Answer:
You can easily do more
Detailed Answer:
Hi Keisterbeki,
You can have a genetic test for CF, ulcerative colitis and Crohns disease will usually be associated with high levels of calprotectin in the stool, which you can have tested. Thyroid disease can be assessed on a blood test and ultrasound. Crohns disease, ulcerative colitis and CF usually do not present with high BMI.
Has he had blood tests or stool tests, and if so, what are the results?
Best wishes.

I have upload additional results. I guess I am asking should we look at more? Are these results "normal". I could see one test being out and brushing it off, but it's not just one. What do these results tell us?
Brief Answer:
These results are normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi again Keisterbeki,
The results that you have attached are normal. The MCV that is only slightly lower than "normal" range is without any relevance. As mentioned previously, I suggest fecal test for calprotectin (and bacteria) and also blood tests for celiac disease. If the feces calprotectin is increased, he should probably have an ileocolonoscopy under sedation.
Hope this helps.
