11 Months Old Getting A Whitish Layer On Tongue. Does It Require Any Medication ?

Question: my nephew is 11 months old.
He is doing perfectly fine and on normal baby food.
he is getting a whitish layer in his tounge. Does it require any medication ?

By whitish layer,do you mean just tongue coating?
If it is so, you need not do anything.Just take care of mouth hygiene.
But there is another condition called thrush which looks like curdled milk sticking onto the tongue- this is fungal infection and needs treatment.
This thrush is usually patchy whereas coated tongue is more homogeneous.
If the child is feeding well it is more likely to be coated tongue.
