2 Years Ago, I Lost Vision And Had Pain In

Question: 2 years ago, I lost vision and had pain in my left eye. I was diagnosed with optic neuritis and had two MRI's done (with and without contrast). Both came out clear. My vision returned a few weeks later. About 2 weeks ago I started feeling tingly on my fingers and feeling some legs aches as well. I also had some blurry vision that would come and go, along with some numbness on my left cheek. I just went to another MRI yesterday to which they did not find lesions, but mentioned a DVA in my brain. What is this? Is this a cause for concern?

Brief Answer:
DVA are malformations of veins in brain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

DVA in brain are malformations of veins in the brain.
They are usually benign. They can cause headache commonly.
DVA does not require treatment and can be maintained under control.
You should follow up with a neurologist for specific treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards!
