Question: 2 years back i have had a surgery in my right eye to repais retina detachment. I was operated and silicone band as well as oil was used. Silicone oil was removed after three months. And sametime cataract surgery was also done in the sane eye. Just after the surgery doctor noticed my eye pressure was high and since then i am regularly taking eye drops to maintain normal pressure.
The other thing is I am having nasal polyps and two months back i had surgery done and requires a certain amount of steroids to control it, but i am unable to due to concern that it may affect my eye pressure. I have been asked to use Azopt 2 times a day and Alphagan 2 times a day plus Travatan in the night only. Yesterday dictor checked and pressure was at 22 and now he prefers me to use Azopt 4 times a day. My right eye is always red.
Recently my both my eyes are watering and doctor refered pooling. This came only after sinus surgery.

Based in the above,
1: Is there any medication that you would recommend for my nasal surgery that would not affect or less likely affect eye pressure?
2: what could be the reason for pooling.?

I have sent the prescription of both ophthalmologist and ENT doctor.

The pressure varies when ever i see doctor. This time it was 22 and previous time (before one month) it was 35.
The doctor refered as pooling. Its actually at times too much ch water in the eye gets collected at the bottom of the eye then ooz out.

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for getting back to me with relevant information. There definitely is an inconsistent rise of pressure. This has to be controlled. You have rightly been aked to increase the dose of eyedrop.
Short term exposure to steroid for nasal problem will not immediately raise the iop.continue with steroids for a 10days and then ha e your iop measured.Such short term exposure does not have dreaded side effects on the eye and relieves your symptoms and will help pooling as well.
You have to have periodic monitoring of iop and adjustment of eyedrops according to the pressure maintainence.
Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
