Brief Answer:
Need few more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to Ask A Doctor service

To have a clear idea, I would like to get few more details, as mentioned below:

1. Was there any other symptoms like fever or cold to begin with?
2. Are these lesions itchy/painful?
3. Any fluid filled vesicles/blisters?
4. What are other areas involved- any lesions over face or palms&soles? Is there any redness or lesions in mouth?
5. Any history of allergic disorders(atopic dermatitis/eczema, bronchial asthma) in parents or family?
6. Finally, is there a similar rash, itching or any febrile illness for someone else in the family?

Kindly get back with these details, so that I can guide you better. Also, send few more clicks if possible.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
May be a viral rash

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thank you for the information.

She is having groups of multiple papules with some redness. Such lesions can occur from a viral illness or in insect bite reaction. In the later, we expect some itching or other discomfort and lesions will be few only. So this is probably a viral rash. It is possible sometimes for viral illness to present with rash alone, with no systemic symptoms.

For such cases, I used to give calamine lotion for local application, along with antihistamine like Hydroxyzine. But, here since there is no itching or any other symptoms, we need not treat this. This will disappear its own in 5-7 days.

Incase she develops itching/pain/fever, kindly get back to me with her weight to guide any drug treatment needed.

Hope I have answered your query
