Question: 34/M/Obese. I am currently on weight loss diet (low carb) and lost 30 pounds so in last 3 months! Today I was out working in lawn while it was hot and worked my heart rate up quite a bit. When I came in I used my home ECG monitor just to see my heart rate but I had no symptoms. It is portal ECG (http://www.emayltd.com/index.php/Home/Index/detail/id/17.html) and I held it at V3 position under left breast. It reported tachycardia and st depression. I have not seen that before! About 10 minutes later I was down to 81bpm and it was looking normal.

Is this something I should be concerned about? I am attaching pictures exported from the device. I have had concerns in past and had stress tests and there were no findings and follow up needed. This was 3 years ago. I suppose I get anxious about heart issues because of my excessive weight that I am working to correct.

Brief Answer:
It's normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Both ecgs are normal. Second Ecg shows sinus tachycardia and normal st depression which is seen with tachycardia. So, there are no significant abnormalities other than tachycardia, which is probably due to exercises. Tachycardia occurs more with intense exercises, hot weather and dehydration. So, keep yourself well hydrated during exercises.
So, i don't think there is anything to worry about.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
