34 Year Old With High Cholesterol Levels, Fatty Liver, Fluctuating Blood Pressure. No History Of Heart Disease. Advice?

I am 34 years old male. Healthy.
4 months ago I did quit smoking and gained 4-5 kilos weight.
I am 1.72 m and 79 kilos.
Today i got results of my first cholesterol blood test and THE results are in mmol/l
Cholesterol. 6.8. Mmol/l
Ldl. 5
Hdl. 0.94
Cholesterol / hdl ratio 7.3
I am in shock. My doctor did not give me med. I have to reduce it by diet and sport.
Starting this year I had a high gamma gt and I reduced it by not drinking alcohol. I had a light fatty liver.
Does this mean my slow death? Does this mean I am not healthy anymore? Can I reduce the cholesterol to below 5 ?
Can my heart be effected now by this level?
In the morning when I wake up my blood pressure is 12.7 / 7.7 and in the evening is sometimes 14/9 and sometimes below. I one time had a blood pressure of 15/9.5 but it reduced by itself. I don't use meds for that.
No heart desease in family.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
David
Let me try to set your mind at rest regarding some points.
First, this is not the start of 'slow death' as you put it. Cholesterols levels could be high due to many factors, most are age and diet related. For you age 34, high cholesterol is not common, but its not rare either. Smoking and diet related factors can cause impaired cholesterol levels. The fatty liver is a sign of that.
These levels are not so high that medication is required. Neither is it so high, that it cannot be reduced by diet control and physical activity.
In the long run, high cholesterol can of course, lead heart disease and hypertension.
You blood pressure hasn't been consistently high. That is a good sign. You are still in a state from where diet and exercise can cause your cholesterol to reduce.
At present, here are some points to remember:
Avoid smoking.
Avoid alcohol.
Avoid a high fatty,carbohydrate diet.
See a dietcian for a suitable diet plan.
Drink plenty of water to flush out all toxins from the body.
At least 30 min of physical activity daily. It could be walking or jogging. Play a game. Whatever suits you.
Keep monitoring your blood pressure.
You should get re tested after 3 months so that your levels can be monitored. That way you will find out if your current plan is working.
Keep a calm mind. There is not any need to panic.
Regular doctor's visits are recommended.
Regards,

But in the evening sometimes I even have a 14.6/9.6 or even little more. Sometime there is more than half degree between 2 closed measurement, Can you tell me when can I say I have to use meds? When always bloodpressure is high?
I mean if I was hypertension , how comes that my bloodpressure in the morning is always ok like 13/7.7 and arround that and it gets up in the evening?
About cholesterol I am sure I will reduce it. I started my diet now

In those evenings, when I measure when i am Laying down my blood pressure is normal. But when I sit then it's much higher
Thanks for writing back.
Well, blood pressure measurements are variable in different positions. You need to take the blood pressure in the same position, in the same arm around the same time for at least 3 consecutive days. If consistently more than 140/90 mm Hg then medication may be required for control. Even a proper diet will show some benefit towards blood pressure control.
Monitor your BP and if consistently high then see your physician for medication.
Keep to a salt restricted diet.
I hope, this explains your query.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
