36 Weeks Pregnant.. Have Gastroparesis , And Possible Intestinal Midline
Question: 36 weeks pregnant.. have gastroparesis, and possible intestinal midline rotation anomaly..
Starting this morning I have been passing exclusively mucus stools. No color, just thick clearish white mucus. It’s thick, and gloppy. It looks like I’m pooping a huge mucus plug every time I have a bowel movement. No blood, not even color to it. Yes some abdominal discomfort. But I have a prior classical C section, so it could be that.. Why would I be passing 2-3 tbs at a time of mucus thicker than custard? It isn’t runny, and I’m not constipated by any means.

Brief Answer:
amoebiasis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query,
Mucous in stools is indicative of amoebiasis infection caused by helminths. This is often seen to occur through infection from oral route. This can be treated with a 3 days course of anti-helminthics Like tab albendazole 400mg once at night x 3 days.
I hope this would help,
wishing you good health,
Regards
