Question: 38 yr male underwent PTCA in 2017 and has undergone recent 2 D echo and TMT....kindly suggest the prognosis and the probable compliation may arise in near future,considering the recent diagnostic test done.

Hello

The prognosis is good as both the echo and TMT is normal as of now. Prognosis depends upon the compliance of the patient that how well he follow the advice of the doctor, whether the patient take medicine properly or not, does he continue to smoke or not.

Complications that can arise in future includes another heart attack, pump failure, cardiac arrhythmias etc, but it’s very difficult to say who will develop those complications.

After angioplasty some patients lives a near normal life throughout and some develop complications very early.
