UA wnl, CBC and BMP wnl, CT of abd notable abd hernia and diverticulosis. Post attack, diarrhea lasting less than twelve hours and three episodes.
No history of simila symptoms in parents, grandparents, siblings or cousins.
Other history, OSA with CPAP, GERD on omperazole, Abd Hernia non surgical, L4/5 10% compression fx w/o brace in 1997 r/t mva, R shoulder impingement syndrom in 2001 r/t mva. Diabetes controlled on metformin, Asthma/Allergy with albuterol with one 2 night admission for asthma astmaticus in 2015 and added advair bid with effect.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. The flank pain could be due to some pathology involving the kidneys or the ureters. An ultrasound of the KUBP (kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate) should prove helpful in this regard. I say this as I am not sure that simple ultarsound of the abdomen has taken all parameters in consideration.
You could also have muscle fatigue and taking plenty of juicy fruits can help. I would also recommend you to go for a vitamin D supplemetation (60,000 units once weekly). Your weight could be creating problems for the normal functioning of the body and that could be contributory.
Irritable bowel syndrome is another possibility to consider, especially when you have diarrhea and diverticulosis.
