Ultrasound on Abdomen was done and its report will be received tomorrow, but the doctor said his observation that there is moderate fats on the liver while no Cirrhosis and normal Gallbladder. Please note that the speedy elevation of ALT/AST numbers over two days to almost double is what is worrying me. I , though not a physician, thought it can’t be due to a chronic reason.
Brief Answer:
Covid could be the cause
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It has been found that upto 50% of those who are covid infected develop liver issues and elevated liver enzymes.
So Covid could be the reason for the elevation of liver enzymes in your case.
But I would also like to know what all medications you are taking to see whether any medication is contributing to it.
