Brief Answer:
About statins side effects;
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
A very small number of people taking statins may have mild memory problems or confusion.
It is a known side effect.
But studies show that statins can decrease the risk for Alzheimer disease. You can read the article below;
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC33303/
So, mild memory problems are expected and in this case, the treatment may be stopped but proper Alzheimer disease is not due to Statins.
Regarding Parkinson, as you may know, statins can cause muscle pain or weakness but Alzheimer.
Hope the information will help.
Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
