7 Year Old Showing Sudden Stretching And Twisting Of Neck, Nervousness. What Could Be The Reason?

This has come on very sudden.
It would have been very helpful if you could provide a video file of the manoeuvre he is doing. He may be doing it on command too (then it will be less serious).
The stretching/ jerky manoeuvres of neck that start all of sudden without any discomfort during work, food or any day to day activity, are often called as tics. Students stressed with studies or those who spend most of their time on PC do develop such tics due to straining of neck muscles.
A video will help me realise some serious reasons behind movements like dystonia, seizures and other movement disorders.
If the child can control it on command, habituate him to do so as it will help reduce its frequency if it’s just a tic.
Do write back if you have something else to share or ask about this, you may accept the answer if found satisfactory.
