
A. I’ve Been Having This Pain For 6 Weeks. Primarily

B. A swollen lymph node (see picture with a circle on it) for the same period of time. It has NOT gotten larger. My doctor reviewed and said it may go away on its own. He wasn’t too concerned.
C. Pain is worst after sleeping
D. Turning to the left or right or looking down causes stress on the neck
E. The shoulders (marked with a x on pics are bones that are sore to the touch)
F. The “M” is where pain is muscular in nature.
G. All other markings are general pain areas.
H. I had a physical with my doctor. No nerve issues found. CBC blood work came back within normal range. Ultrasound of the lymph node was not reactive and normal size range. Zone 3 and 5.
Can be due to neck muscles spasm.

I have seen the areas that you have marked as painful. This pain is more likely to be related to cervical spondylosis or spasm of the neck muscles extending to the shoulder. This can be posture related and can be aggravated by working for long hours on computer.
You can start with an oral muscle relaxant after meals and do a hot compress to relax the spasmed muscles in the area. You can also get an MRI scan of the neck done to confirm the diagnosis. Avoid using a pillow and start with isometric neck exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist for a better relief.
