Brief Answer:
Diabetes and hypertension may be the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service. I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you may be developing the carpal tunnel syndrome a peripheral neuropathy that is caused by compression of the meddian nerve.
The incidents of lightheadness may be from different causes. They may be from hypotension ( if you take antihypertensive
drugs) and from reactive hypoglycaemia of diabetes.
The carpal tunnel syndrome and lightheadness are both possibly caused from diabetes and hypertension so you should check blood sugar and blood pressure levels.
You can take any antinflammatory drugs such advil for pain relief.
Treatment of main cause such diabetes and hypertension can improve carpal tunnel syndrome.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
