Following Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Abortion) bleeding will occur for a couple of days. After that, the bleeding will decrease in a couple of weeks.
In most cases, periods will occur (resume) after five to six weeks.
Note:
If heavy bleeding persists for more than 3 - 5 days, it could be because the uterus has not been emptied completely. If this is the case you should get an Gynecological examination done by a doctor.
