About 10 Days Ago I Suffered What I Believe To

Question: About 10 days ago I suffered what I believe to be an overdose from maxolon. I didn?t go to the hospital but the following day I was seemingly fine from it. I, since then, have been experiencing rather bad nausea and diarrhoea which I believe in conjunction with the overdose, could have caused issues with my liver. Do I need to see a doctor ASAP or is this something that can clear up on its own?

Brief Answer:
It's gastroenteritis which is self limiting a completely separate event from overdose of metchorpromide.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service.
Metoclopromide over dose is something more than 100mg taken in a day and this was 10 days ago so the nausea and loose stools you are experiencing now is not related to that thing rather it's gastroenteritis(viral infection of gut).
I would suggest you to take over the counter probiotic like VSL#3 twice daily with lots and lots of Electral/ORS and Tablet Imodium 4mg twice till loose motion stops.
However if you feel extreme weakness/pulse higher then 100/min or upper blood pressure less then 90mm of hg go to ED for parental treatment.
For mental satisfaction you can get a liver function test done at any lab near you(However it's not related to liver/Metochopramide.
Thank you.
