Question: About 1.5 weeks i was waking up in morning with green thick phlegm, that went away but yesterday i was checking and I have a bean sized lymph on left collar bone area. It is moveable but not tender. Also my throat is red right now. Can that lymph be from that? Because I have nothing but bad things about lymphs in that location. I had a full blood test done 3 weeks ago and it is clear.

Brief Answer:
Swollen lymph node is reactive to infection in throat

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your attached query in detail.

The swollen lymph node in your case is possibly related to the infection in the throat.

The redness Indicate infection. This infection might be tracking down the chest producing green phlegm.

The swollen lymph node can be as a result of ongoing infection as a defence mechanism to combat infection.

This should gradually subside in the due course of time.

Post your further questions if any.

Thank you.
