Question: About 2 months back i have had surgery for Sinus in Indis, and i was reviewed for 2 weeks before giving confirmation for me to go back home.
i will have a pic of my discharge record for you to go through.
As instructed i was using nasal wash twice a day and a week back i developed a cough at times, and while washing noticed a yellowish secretion from the nose.
i consulted my dictor and he asked me stop the wash for a week and to take antibiotic prescribed in the duscharge sheet for 5 days.

i could not find the same tablet if Cefozyt cv 625, but only Cefozyt 200mg. so i took this twice for 5 days and yet there is much relief. Now that i have got Cefozyt CV 325, my doctor asked to take it for another 5 days. I am on it rught now and seems better than before.

I would like to share that there is continuous dripping to the throat and when i wake up from sleeping on side i feel heaviness in my ear of that side and takes about two -three minutes to come normal. Probably a fluid is in the sinus area or something which i am not sure. After taking the antibiotics, the a little thick fluid that comes after coughing is turned to more %E2%80%9Cwater%E2%80%9D like instead of yellowish.
Would appreciate if you could tell me the probable diagnosis and if it would be of nothing if that concern.
Thank you doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hii. You were having rhinosinusitis for which you were operated. The rhinosinusitis is generally allergic in nature. Although you remove all the disease from the sinus during surgery but you cannot eradicate allergic tendency from the sinus. So even after the surgery some secretion will always come out from the nose and sinus. So your diagnosis is rhinosinusitis probably of allergic origin. To decrease the allergic tendency you need to start fluticasone nasal spray for next few months. You need to use solspre which is saline nasal spray which will clear all the discharge from the sinus. These two spray will decrease your symptoms to the minimum. Take steam inhalation after taking spray. You have to do some nasal breathing exercise which will improve your mucociliary activity of the nose and the proper drianage of the sinus. So follow the above advice and don't need to worry.
