About A Month Or So Ago I Had A Small

Question: About a month or so ago I had a small scratch on the sensitive end of my penis. It healed very quickly but I used an antiseptic - and I think I used too much of it. There seemed to be a patch of reddish skin where there was sometimes for a short while a tiny split . Now it feels that something is 'spreading' with some reddish blotches elsewhere, including the tip. and low level soreness/stinging. I assume it is some kind of reaction to the antiseptic (I have not had any sexual contact for more than a year - so nothing to do with that !) . The antiseptic bottle is labelled: hydrogen peroxide solution 3%, external solution, aqueous 3% . Composition: hydrogen peroxide solution of 30% 10.0 g, excipients: benzoate sodium (E 21), - 0.05 g, purified water - up to 100 ml.
Brief Answer:
Irritant reaction, topical steroid, antihistaminic
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and it seems to be an irritant reaction to the antiseptic you have used.
I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily along with antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg once daily for 7-10 days.
Don’t apply soap on the affected area.
Wash it with plain water.
